Make a Photo Book for Toddlers

It's been a while since I've been on my blog... not because I've stopped wanting to blog or because I have nothing to blog about, but because my current projects can't be publicised at this time. I'm working on a book. A book about sewing and making amazing things. More about that some other time.

My little boy is almost 17 months old now and his language skills are racing ahead. He is starting to develop a real interest in other people and can remember some of their names. I am constantly looking at photos on the computer with him and telling him who people are so I decided to make a photo book for him. I looked into printing a professional board book and though some of the options are great, they were a little more expensive than I wanted.

The photos I chose are those of immediate family members and close friends. As my son meets and remembers more people, their pictures can be added to the book. He loves this simple book and looks at it all the time and has learned the names of almost all the people inside.

Today I want to share how to create this simple photo book for toddlers.

You will need:
- photos printed whatever size you would like your book (I used 5"x 7")
- a laminator & lamination pouches
- hole punch
- 2 binder rings

How to make it:

1. Place photos into lamination pouches and laminate. Make sure that you have room around the photo so that the lamination can't peel off. If you want to include the names of the people, have a print out of the names ready and place them on the photos in the pouches before you laminate.

2. Cut out the photos, leaving about 1cm of lamination around them. Round the corners.

3. Using the hole punch, punch two holes in the left side of each photo. (I punched the holes in the laminate, but you could go through the photo if you want to.)

4. Place the binder rings through the holes!

It's as simple as that!
